Dr Jacki Mein was appointed Board Chair in September 2023.

Jacki was first appointed to the RVTS Board in 2018 as a Class C nominee, and served her first three-year term as Board Chair from September 2019 to October 2022. Jacki then served as Deputy Chair.

Jacki works as a GP at several Aboriginal Medical services – Wuchopperen, Gurriny Yealamacka, & Mookai Rosie bi Bayan. She has several decades of experience working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander populations across the north of Australia and is a GP, public health & sexual health physician. She is a graduate of the RVTS general practice training program, & a RACGP Fellow since 2018. Jacki is an honorary member of the QAIHC Lead Clinicians Group, serves on the Primary Care Commissioning Panel for North Queensland PHN, & is Chair of Wheels of Wellness, an outreach charity service that delivers mobile medical clinics to homeless people in Cairns. Jacki also enjoys her role as a current RVTS Supervisor.
