Dr Madhu Tamilarasan was appointed to the RVTS Ltd Board on 26 September 2024.

Madhu worked as a rural specialist general practitioner in Lithgow, NSW since emigrating from the UK in 2005.

She is a committed advocate for rural general practice so that others are drawn to experience rural GP life and find the same joy she experiences from living and working in a small community.

Madhu has extensive experience in general practice training and education having previously been the Director of Training for a large GP training provider across Western and far Western NSW.

She is passionate about nurturing our future rural GP workforce having supervised and taught countless medical students and GP registrars through her practice and continues to teach and support GP registrars external to her practice.

Madhu brings her strong governance background to the RVTS board as a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, current board director for Wentworth Healthcare Ltd (provider of the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network) and past deputy chair for General Practice Supervision Australia.
