Dr Sanjaya Kapuwatte was appointed Board Chair in September 2024.

Sanjaya was reappointed as Director in September 2023 for a further two-year term after his first appointment in 2021, and elected Deputy Chair in September 2023. As a rural GP, Sanjaya is based in Bathurst, NSW, and is a conjoint lecturer with University of Western Sydney, Rural School of Medicine. Sanjaya also enjoys his role as a current RVTS Supervisor supporting registrars in rural practice.
